FooteNotes: What's Happening at E.B. Foote Winery
We are thrilled at the response to our Inventory Sell Down Prices that began last week. It's heartening to know that so many people love our wines. In case you missed it, we are giving you a chance to stock your cellar with E. B. Foote wines while you have the chance. Our prices are now:
Bottle price In a case Wine Club price
ETC. $14 $13 $12 $11
Rainy Day Red 14 13 12 11
2006 Merlot 14 13 12 11
Northwest Duet 14 13 12 11
Remembrance 14 13 12 11
Sweet Sherrill 11 10 10 9
Featured Wines Special:
2005 Merlot and 2006 Perfect a Trois: $10 a bottle or $100 a case!
Get 12 bottles for the price of 10 when you buy a case. You can mix these two wines in a case for the $100 case price!
The 2005 Merlot and 2006 Perfect a Trois have been flying out the door. We have fewer than 35 cases of the 2005 Merlot left and fewer than 90 cases of the 2006 Perfect a Trois left. At these prices, you can feel extravagant without spending extravagantly.
Please don't call or email to ask us to hold wine for you until you can get there, even if you offer to pay for it ahead of time. With so many fans of our wines, we could be inundated with requests and no way to accommodate them. Thanks for understanding.
With Remembrance priced at $14, the entire purchase price will be donated to Alzheimer's research. You can enjoy a great wine and help a great cause. So far the winery has donated more than $46,000 to a specific research project being conducted at the University of Washington. With your help we can meet our goal of $100,000!
If you haven't had a chance to get to the winery for these values, we hope to see you this weekend for our Summer Celebration. We'll sample six wines along with some snacks, and you can stock your cellar with award-winning E. B. Foote wines.

Since we are not getting grapes this fall, we realized we can change our calendar a bit. We've spent the summer bottling our 2008 and 2009 red wines, and we want to get them released. Instead of releasing these new wines in December, we will be having a Harvest Release Party in November. Fall is the perfect time to release our four new red wines -- 2009 Mirage (a Syrah/Merlot blend), the long-awaited 2009 Zinfandel, the 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon, and the much-anticipated 2008 Cabernet Franc. The 2008 Cab Franc is the wine that was barrel tasted in May that everyone was oohing and ahhing over. The Harvest Release Party will be November 11th - November 14th. Mark your calendar and we'll have more details later.
Wine Club members: You can pick up your November selection beginning November 11th during the Harvest Release Party.
Remember our winery hours for wine tasting, wine purchases, Wine Club pick up, ticket purchases, etc.:
Tuesday & Thursday 5 pm - 8 pm
Friday & Saturday 11 am - 4 pm
Also by appointment
